Also this year, Herding presented its collection novelties from the 9th to 12th of January 2018 at the world’s largest international trade fair, Heimtextil, in Frankfurt.
Next to classics such as Firefighter Sam, The Little Caterpillar Nimmersatt, Star Wars and Mickey Mouse, we have developed a new collection for many new license themes such as Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Spirit, Enchantimals, WWE and Call of Duty. In addition to new bedding designs, we offer additional products such as pillows, blankets, beach towels and fitted sheets.
Furthermore, Pummel Unicorn is one of the strongest licenses in the portfolio.
Hence it was obvious to expand our collection with other pummeltastic products, such as a rapeseed pillow and a high-quality plush pillow.
In addition, Pummel Unicorn has gained reinforcement! Together with its friends Buddy & Rocky and Pummel Fairy out of the glittering world, it continues to take our hearts by storm.

At this year’s Brand Licensing Europe trade fair, which took place in London from 10th to 12th October 2017, the licensing agency Euro Licenses once again had the trend theme EMOT!X from Herding in their luggage.

TRAINEE FAIR 2017
Also in this year we could participate in the Bocholt trainee fair, to which the Volksbank Bocholt eG and the Barmer GEK invited on 9 September 2017.
The trainee fair offers to school leavers, future career starters and parents the opportunity to inform themselves about career opportunities or further educational paths.
Our training manager Mrs. Andrea Beisheim as well as three of our trainees were available to answer the questions of those interested as contact persons from Herding. There were many interesting conversations about career orientation and the various training opportunities at Herding.
We currently offer apprenticeships in the following professions:
- Wholesale and foreign trade merchant (m/w) as of 01.08.2018
• Warehouse logistics specialist (m/w) as of 01.08.2018
• Media designers (m/w) as of 01.08.2019
We are pleased that we were able to enthuse numerous visitors for our training offer and that we received many applications for the 2018 training year.

SUPER WINGS ON APPROACH
The animated pre-school series SUPER WINGS is already attracting worldwide attention. Now Jett, Roger and Co. have also been licensed by Herding!
Since the beginning of 2017, the successful TV broadcast of the action-packed series has taken place in the prime time of the children’s channel KiKA.
The contents of the 52 eleven-minute episodes of SUPER WINGS address cultural diversity and creative problem solving. At the center of the plot are the adventures of Jett, a self-confident jet that travels around the world delivering very special packages to children. With every adventure, Jett encounters a new problem that he and his friends must solve together.
The SUPER WINGS are not just airplanes. They have the ability to turn into amazing heroes who can walk, climb, lift, dig and even dive deep under water!

HERDING RECEIVES GOLDEN MICKEY AWARD
At the annual Disney Licensee Meeting in Munich on July 11, 2017, Klaus Herding GmbH received the Heritage Award of the Disney Company due to 60 years of cooperation.
Herding is the market leader in Germany in the field of home textiles with licenses and has been working successfully with Disney for 60 years and is thus the first Disney licensee in Europe.
Klaus Herding, the company’s namesake, died in 2013 at the age of 89 in Bocholt and who ran the company until 1988, had the idea in 1957 to weave Mickey Mouse as a motif in a children’s blanket. He obtained permission to do so with a handshake at a meeting with Brother Walt Disney’s California. The first written contract dates from 1974.
Herding still carries this business idea today, although many additional licenses have been added. Herding will celebrate its centenary next year. The company has more than doubled its turnover over the past 12 years. Thanks also to Disney.
Representatives of Herding (the managing partners Susanne Litzel and Thomas Mertens as well as the authorised signatories Bianca Röttgers and Magnus Belting) received the special award personally in Munich from Mr Christian Rahmig and his team.
Susanne Litzel: “We are very happy with this recognition and look forward to our joint anniversaries next year. Mickey Mouse will be 90, and Herding 100.“

Since the beginning of 2017, the successful TV broadcast of the action-packed series has taken place in the prime time of the children’s channel KiKA.
The contents of the 52 eleven-minute episodes of SUPER WINGS address cultural diversity and creative problem solving. HERDING RECEIVES GOLDEN MICKEY AWARD
At the annual Disney Licensee Meeting in Munich on July 11, 2017, Klaus Herding GmbH received the Heritage Award of the Disney Company due to 60 years of cooperation.
Herding is the market leader in Germany in the field of home textiles with licenses and has been working successfully with Disney for 60 years and is thus the first Disney licensee in Europe.
Klaus Herding, the company’s namesake, died in 2013 at the age of 89 in Bocholt and who ran the company until 1988, had the idea in 1957 to weave Mickey Mouse as a motif in a children’s blanket. He obtained permission to do so with a handshake at a meeting with Brother Walt Disney’s California. The first written contract dates from 1974.
Herding still carries this business idea today, although many additional licenses have been added. Herding will celebrate its centenary next year. The company has more than doubled its turnover over the past 12 years. Thanks also to Disney.
Representatives of Herding (the managing partners Susanne Litzel and Thomas Mertens as well as the authorised signatories Bianca Röttgers and Magnus Belting) received the special award personally in Munich from Mr Christian Rahmig and his team.

Next to classics such as Firefighter Sam, The Little Caterpillar Nimmersatt, Star Wars and Mickey Mouse, we have developed a new collection for many new license themes such as Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Spirit, Enchantimals, WWE and Call of Duty. In addition to new bedding designs, we offer additional products such as pillows, blankets, beach towels and fitted sheets.
Furthermore, Pummel Unicorn is one of the strongest licenses in the portfolio.
Hence it was obvious to expand our collection with other pummeltastic products, such as a rapeseed pillow and a high-quality plush pillow.
In addition, Pummel Unicorn has gained reinforcement! Together with its friends Buddy & Rocky and Pummel Fairy out of the glittering world, it continues to take our hearts by storm.

TRAINEE FAIR 2017
Also in this year we could participate in the Bocholt trainee fair, to which the Volksbank Bocholt eG and the Barmer GEK invited on 9 September 2017.
The trainee fair offers to school leavers, future career starters and parents the opportunity to inform themselves about career opportunities or further educational paths.
Our training manager Mrs. Andrea Beisheim as well as three of our trainees were available to answer the questions of those interested as contact persons from Herding. There were many interesting conversations about career orientation and the various training opportunities at Herding.
We currently offer apprenticeships in the following professions:
- Wholesale and foreign trade merchant (m/w) as of 01.08.2018
• Warehouse logistics specialist (m/w) as of 01.08.2018
• Media designers (m/w) as of 01.08.2019
We are pleased that we were able to enthuse numerous visitors for our training offer and that we received many applications for the 2018 training year.
