Klaus Herding GmbH will support the students of the Mariengymnasium Bocholt in their future career orientation. Representatives of the company and the school signed the cooperation agreement on March 3, 2020. The cooperation is integrated in the project „Partnerschaft Schule – Betrieb” of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) North Westphalia. For Herding this is the first cooperation in the IHK initiative.

Students and teachers from Mariengymnasium are invited to visit the company in order to gain an insight into the economic processes of a trading company. During the vocational field exploration days and also through company internships, the students gain an insight into various training professions in the company. In addition, trainees act as IHK training ambassadors in school classes to provide information about their professions and experiences.

Head of training Andrea Beisheim sees the cooperation as a benefit for all parties involved: “We would like to give the students an insight into our company and our training professions and their contents. In this way, we can take the inhibition threshold away from the young people for a regional vocational training and present ourselves as an attractive training company. Especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers, we consider it important to approach young people at an early stage.

We are looking forward to a good cooperation and many impressions of the students into the professional world.
