On the 9th of May 2019 the sixth economics dialogue took place in Rhede. The host for this years meeting of entrepreneurs was Klaus Herding GmbH, which welcomed about 130 visitors, who got an entertaining virtual guided tour after an introduction of the company.

The mayor of Rhede, Mr. Bernsmann, opened the event and Ms. Holthöfer-Büse led through the evening.

“100 years of Herding – A company through the ages” – under this motto the managing partners Dr. Susanne Litzel and Erwin Seggewiss, plus general manager and member of the management Magnus Belting presented valuable information about the company.

Following Dr. Anke Valentin from the Wirtschaftsladen in Bonn and Spaleck director Carsten Sühlig spoke about the project “green instead of grey – industrial areas in transition” and the possibilities to shape the companies more ecologically and sustainably.

Other points of the economics dialogue were the Azubi-Pflanzaktion – which sends a signal for biodiversity and nature protection, STEK 2035 – a concept, how industrialists in Rhede can contribute to the sustainability and finally useful information from business promoter Jutta Holthöfer-Büse, who gave a summary about the economy and public management in Rhede.

At the end of the presentation Herding invited everyone to food and drinks with a social exchange for the visitors.
